Mangano and Jr. World Team Earn Gold at Pan Am Fencing Championship
Sophomore Ariana Mangano of Colts Neck and her Junior World team won Gold at the 2017 Pan Am Fencing Championships in Cuba. The international tournament took place in Havana over March 2-7, 2017. Ariana earned a spot on the Team USA Junior World (and World Cadet) women’s epee teams just last month!
More than 50 athletes represented the United States on the Junior and Cadet teams at Pan Ams, an event that further seeds and qualifies teams leading up to the Junior Worlds taking place in April in Bulgaria, where Ariana will compete. The Pan Am championship represents the top fencers from across the Pan American region, with more than 20 nations represented, from Canada to Chile.
