Ranney School is committed to guiding our students through the college admission process with the same individualized attention and care they receive in our classrooms. We understand that even under the best of circumstances, applying to college can be stressful, but in Ranney’s college counseling office students will always find an open door and solid advice. Beginning with ninth grade, all student schedules pass through the college counseling office for review. Three full-time staff members, serving an average graduating class of fifty, work closely with students, parents and advisors throughout the Upper School years to ensure that each student is following an appropriate academic trajectory, with clear and viable goals. During junior year, our college counselors meet one-on-one with students and parents to discuss all the variables in the college selection process and help focus each student’s priorities and aspirations. When it comes time to apply to colleges, Ranney students are confident in knowing that the School’s reputation provides an established entre to highly selective colleges and universities nationwide. Students enter the admission process well-prepared and well-informed, benefiting from individualized counseling designed to ensure that each and every Ranney student reaches the right destination.
