The Performing Arts curriculum encompasses the study of general music education and music theory, as well as applied areas of band, orchestra and chorus. Curriculum in performance courses is designed to give students at all levels a wide range of exposure to different musical styles and genres. It is our belief that providing a strong foundation in performing arts will not only allow students to experience musical performance with greater understanding but will also encourage exploration of other musical styles and textures.
Within the department are music educators who specialize in vocal and instrumental music as well as dramatic arts. We welcome and encourage all students to explore music as part of their Ranney experience.
