Upper School Coffee House Debuts Renovated Commons Theatre

With a growing performing arts program and extraordinary generosity to the Annual Fund, the first Coffee House of the school year, scheduled for this Thursday night, October 16 at 7:00 p.m., will be a show our community won't want to miss! Student performers, faculty, parents, and our audience of supporters will experience the results of the renovations and theatre enhancements in the performances of our students that evening.

A generous family donation has allowed for The Commons’ second-floor theatre and stage to be redesigned with Harlequin Cascade flooring; this is the same professional dance flooring that exists in Radio City Music Hall and pays tribute to our first Head of School Mr. Russell G. Ranney, who established ballroom dancing classes for students in The Commons. In addition to the new shock-absorbent flooring, the renovated area features new stage curtains, sun-darkening window treatments, energy-efficient LED lighting (available in 20 shaded colors) and a fully digital sound system. The system includes a state-of-the-art control board, wireless speakers and acoustic panels.

We hope you will join us in this renovated state-of-the-art, intimate performing arts space for our fall Coffee Houses:
  • Upper School: Thursday, October 16 at 7 p.m.
  • Middle School: Friday, October 24 at 7 p.m.
  • Lower School: Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m.
The coffee house kicks off a fun-filled homecoming weekend. Plan to bring your family to events and show your Panther Pride. View the excitement on This week’s Upper School performers include: Salma Abdelbarry, Sara Abdelbarry, Kathleen Allen, Grant Barthelmes, Katherine Bibilouri, Ashley Biswal, Erik Bovino, Karl Brand, Craig Callahan, Sofia Cioffi, Charlotte DeMarco, Liam Fitzmaurice, Sydney Harley, Ben Iglesia, Robert Johnson, Sarah Killian, Max Kyrillos, Rebekah Lo, Keenan Maher, Gabriella Mahoney, Carmine Mastrokostas, Lucy McGinty, Tyler Oden, Sabrina Park, Mari Patient, Tessa Payer, Remi Rohl, Evan Schultz, George Timmins, Ben Zalewski, Taylor Zenner and more!
