 | Inspired coaches…top-notch facilities…a broad range of exciting sports…at Ranney, these elements come together to provide outstanding athletic opportunities for every child. Beginning in Lower School, with physical education classes and Panther Cubs, a program of weekend recreational sports coached by parents with help from Upper Schoolers, each child builds the individual and team skills needed to compete and excel. In Middle School, students have the chance to take part in a variety of interscholastic sports against local public and private schools, with practices held during physical education classes.
In Upper School, athletics combines a high level of intensity with an equally high level of participation: 80 percent of Upper Schoolers are members of at least one team. Ranney Upper School teams have proven themselves formidable competitors, capturing Patriot Conference titles and State “B” Division championships and recording undefeated seasons. Ranney athletes have been named to all-state teams and gone on to succeed in college competition.
