Student members of Jr. Tri-M and Tri-M Music Honor Society have created presentations as well as a video about their performances and community service work during the 2014-15 school year. An honor society for music students, Tri-M provides a means of promoting the importance of the arts in a comprehensive educational program. It recognizes music students for their efforts and accomplishments in music on the basis of musicianship, scholarship, character, leadership and service to their school and community. The organization’s high standards serve to challenge students to greater effort and achievement and to encourage the pursuit of excellence in music.
This week, 12 band, chorus, orchestra and show choir students will be inducted into Tri-M and 22 students will be inducted into Jr. Tri-M, led by Ranney's Dr. Dorothy Sobieski and Mrs. Lillianne Torrente, respectively.
