Middle School Admissions Process

6th through 8th Grade

We look forward to welcoming you to Ranney School and working with you and your family during the Admissions process!

Online Application
The first step in the application process is to start an online application through the myRanney portal. Click the Apply Online button on the right to begin an application and submit the $75 application fee.  (International students should refer to the International Admissions page.)
 
Applicant Checklist
Once you begin your application and it has been processed by the Admissions team, you will be able to log in to your myRanney account to access your applicant checklist. This checklist will allow you to keep track of the status of your application and outstanding items, such as teacher recommendations and school transcripts.

School Report and Transcript Form
Applicants must submit a current grade report and two preceding years of academic records. 
 
Testing
Applicants for Grades 6-8 may submit standardized test scores from the prior year (ERBs, PARC testing, etc.). An SSAT is not required.  Placement testing may be administered on an individual basis.
 
Admission Interview:
A member of our enrollment team will schedule an admission interview once an application is complete, including teacher recommendations and transcripts.
