Ranney Sailing Team Ranked 7th Nationally
For the third-straight year, the Ranney School sailing team earned a berth to the High School National Championship to compete for the Mallory Trophy against 20 teams from across the country, including the Virgin Islands.
This year the team traveled to Seattle, where they were met with less than ideal conditions, as the wind was very light and shifty, which made it difficult. Despite sailing against the top high school teams in the nation and the challenging conditions, the Panthers finished 7th in the nation and the team’s historic third trip to Nationals. This Saturday, May 18, the Panthers will look to defend their two time New Jersey State title in Toms River.
