MS Students Accepted into CJMEA Honors Wind Symphony
Congratulations to Elijah Anderson ‘28, Hannah Brenman ‘28, and Oliver Olson ‘27 for their acceptances into the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Middle School Honors Wind Symphony.
These students completed an in-school audition that consisted of a prepared piece, scales, and a sight-reading example. They were recommended and accepted by CJMEA and will prepare and perform three band arrangements for the CJMEA Honors Band Festival at Monroe Township Middle School on Saturday, March 25th.
The three arrangements are: The Water is Wide by James Swearingen, Shaker Variants by Elliot D. Borgo, and Aggressivo by Randall B.Standridge. Mr. Mike Anzuini will conduct the CJMEA Middle School Honors Wind Symphony.
“It's so wonderful that Elijah, Hannah, and Oliver will have a chance to participate in this year's CJMEA Honors Band Festival,” said Mr. John Propper, All-School Band Director and Performing Arts Department Chair. “I look forward to hearing them perform with the other selected honors band students from the 7th and 8th grades throughout central New Jersey.”
