Middle School Students Accepted into CJMEA Honors Orchestra
Congratulations to Middle School Orchestra students cellist Woody Paulus '29 and violinist Josiah Anderson '29 on their acceptance into the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Middle School Honors Orchestra.
Woody and Josiah earned the nomination for this Honors Ensemble after their successful audition on March 6th. They prepared all major scales and a solo selection of their choice.
They were accepted into the Gold Orchestra, which will be performing selections by Soon Hee Newbold ("Desert Sands"), Larry Clarck ("Fable") and Richard Meyer ("Terra Nova").
The Middle School Honors Orchestra will rehearse and perform on Saturday, April 22nd at Piscataway High School.
“The CJMEA Elementary/Middle School Honors Orchestra is a wonderful opportunity for our students to play in a large, full-instrumentation string orchestra and meet students from other schools with a shared interest in music,” said Dr. Dorota Sobieski, All-School Orchestra Director. “Students will gain performance experience and work with CJMEA directors, honing their technical skills and musicianship. I am very proud of the boys and I know they will enjoy performing on April 22nd!”
