Tom Moriau, Director of Athletics

For more than 25 years, Tom Moriau has led the Panther Athletic Department with the vision and inspiration that not only makes him a great coach, but also a great mentor, colleague and friend. He has achieved a record of more than 400 wins as the Panthers’ Varsity Basketball coach, and has coached hundreds of scholar–athletes on the court, on the field and on life. He was the recipient of the 2005 “Prep Conference Coach of the Year” after leading the Panthers to the New Jersey Patriot Conference Championship. In 2013, Ranney’s first season with the Shore Conference, he was honored as the Coach of the Year for the “B” Central Division.

Coach Moriau is a portrait of coaching passion, with an enthusiasm for the game that is contagious. Under his guidance, the Ranney Athletic Department strives for excellence, creating an environment that unites academic excellence with achievement in athletic competition, sportsmanship, commitment and dedication. Coach Moriau’s love of the game and competitive attitude have resulted in numerous successes during his tenure. If you have ever watched him coach, his love of sport and his desire for players to be successful are evident every time he steps onto the court.
