Class of 2019 Celebrating Early College Acceptances

Although the vast majority of college acceptance letters will be arriving in late March and early April, February brings with it early acceptance letters. This list will grow as the season continues, but Ranney School wishes to congratulate the members of the Class of 2019 who have already received letters of admissions from the institutions listed below.

“We are proud of our students for all of their academic achievements and are excited to be a part of this thrilling time in their lives, as the Ranney College Counseling department supports them in finding the right fit for the next chapter in their academic careers,” said Adam Materasso, Ranney School Dean of College Counseling. “They have worked hard and deserve to be congratulated as they watch all of their efforts lead them to the next step in their journeys.”

The ratio of Ranney senior to personal, primary College Counselor is 1 to 30. Every student also has access to an entire office of counselors that know each student’s background and aspirations. The College Counseling department has a great deal of experience, including the perspective gained from having served as college admissions officers.

Starting second semester junior year, Ranney students have dedicated time during the school day to write college essays, practice college interviews, learn from the college experience of young alumni, and to meet with their college counselor. Ranney also leads a college trip each year to help upper classmen gain perspective on the range of possible school varying in size, location, and campus culture.

Ranney College Counseling doesn’t stop after the acceptances, as seniors participate in a “Transition to College” class that helps ensure students are successfully prepared for their educational endeavors after Ranney.

This intentional, individualized, comprehensive approach to college counseling leads Ranney students to aspire to reach for the most competitive schools. Most importantly, Ranney college counselors help our students seek out schools that will support their aspirations. All of the opportunities provided in their time at Ranney ensure they are well-prepared to succeed in the next step of their academic journey.
