Ranney Hosted Final JSDL Debate Tournament of the Season
Ranney School hosted the final Jersey Shore Debate League (JSDL) tournament of the season on Saturday, April 6, with five other schools in attendance: Barkalow Middle School, Rumson Country Day School, Knollwood School, Forrestdale, and Holy Cross.
There were three topics:
New Jersey beaches should not be free to the public.
Election Day should be a federal holiday.
Electric cars do more good than harm.
Ranney had 11 Middle School students participate:
6th grade: Ethan Bodner, Kieran Collins, Khushi Patel, Lucas Yanney
7th grade: Lindsay Berliner, Crosby Collins
8th grade: John DePalma, Ankush Govil, Rowan Johnson, Andrew Pepe, Julia Yanney
Ranney took home the following awards:
Second Place school, with 5 total wins
Third place team (Crosby Collins, John DePalma, and Ankush Govil)
