Alyssa Lopez '21 Awarded NJAATSP Honorable Mention
Each year the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) sponsors a Poster Contest, open to K-12 Spanish and Portuguese students whose teachers are current AATSP members. A language poster submitted by Alyssa Lopez ’21 was awarded Honorable Mention by the NJAATSP (The New Jersey American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese).
At Ranney, students were encouraged to submit a poster this year as one requirement for the Spanish Honor Society. Alyssa was one of several students at Ranney that submitted a poster.
The posters are a demonstration of student understanding of the importance and uses for learning new languages and an excellent project for Hispanic Heritage Month and Foreign Language Celebrations.
“We are very proud of Alyssa's accomplishments and artistic abilities,” said Maria Garcia, Ranney School World Languages Department Chair.
