Lower School Counselor Natalie Minichino has been working with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students this week on making Kelso's Choice Wheels for managing emotions. The wheels are customized based on student selections, and each student builds his or her own from an assortment of pre-made choices.
Students identify their feelings and then come up with some possible ways to process or manage the feelings in a healthy way based on suggestions on the wheel.
“Students have been really engaged in this lesson and enjoyed building their own unique wheels to help them manage emotions in the classroom and beyond,” said Mrs. Minichino.
Our mission is to know and value every child, nurturing intellectual curiosity and confidence, and inspiring students to lead honorably, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to society.
