Matthew Dupree '25 Accepted into All-Shore Intermediate Concert Band

Matthew Dupree '25 was accepted into the All-Shore Intermediate Concert Band for the 2019-2020 Season.  
 
Matthew auditioned on Saturday, November 16 at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School in Freehold, New Jersey.  He prepared and performed numerous scales, a trumpet etude, and performed a sight-reading example. Matthew scored sixth overall from a pool of students coming from various schools in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  
 
"I'm so proud of Matthew, he has worked very hard on his trumpet performance and overall musicianship for the past few years,” said Mr. John Propper, Performing Arts Faculty member. “I'm so elated that he was able to secure a spot in the All-Shore Intermediate Concert Band."  
 
The honors ensemble will rehearse at various schools in the area and will have two performances at Millstone Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 4 (10:30 am and 7:30 pm).
