Ranney Students attend Harvard Model Congress
On February 20-23, Ranney students joined students from other high schools around the nation to participate in the Harvard Model Congress (HMC) in Boston, MA. With 37 committees, HMC is the largest congressional simulation conference and gives students an opportunity to experience public service and civic engagement while providing valuable insight into the world of American politics and statecraft.
Ranney students argued cases in front of the Supreme Court, participated in Senate and House committees, the Presidential Cabinet, and the WHO. Senior Emerald Liu was recognized by her committee chair for her work in the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation committee with an honorable mention at the end of the conference. Mr. DiGiovanni and Ms. Adler were very proud of the efforts of all of the students this past weekend!
