International Students Donating Medical Supplies
We are proud of the generosity exhibited by a group of Ranney School’s International students, who have been looking to help in this time of crisis. When COVID-19 crisis first began, a group of Ranney Upper School students from China raised money to send masks and gloves to hospitals in their hometowns. Spearheaded by Emerald Liu ‘21, they raised over $2,000, which was enough to purchase 190 masks and 39 boxes of gloves.
Now, to return the favor, some of our families in China have begun mailing masks and other medical supplies to their children here to donate to our hospitals in Monmouth County. Currently, Frank Yang ’21 is donating a box of materials to a local hospital. Ms Katia Barone spoke with an administrator at Bayshore Hospital to discuss the donation, and the administrator was moved to tears by the generosity of our students. In a time of crisis, we are so proud of our students for running to help in any way they can.
