Middle School Announces 2021 Theater Productions

Mr. Todd Christopher, Ranney School Performing Arts faculty member, introduces the 2021 Middle School plays. Auditions will be held February 22, 23, and 24 and the production will be April 22.

The first play is Rick Lowell, Private Eye - 'The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of' and is three 25-minute episodes, by Anthony E. Palermo. The cast can include anywhere from 13-27 actors, as well as two to four effects artists.

“The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of” is a Hollywood-set 1940s-style detective series. Private eye Rick Lowell searches for a movie-prop and runs into foreign agents, crooked dames, snooty art dealers, actors playing English detectives, and dangerous gangsters. This exciting and often humorous show is packed with classic 1940s Los Angeles settings, “hard-boiled” dialogue, and colorful characters.

Mr. Christopher also announced Help Desk: A Stay-At-Home Play by Don Zolidis. When you call the help desk, you're looking for a solution - but your problems might just be beginning! Whether you're getting shamed about your inability to log in, giving your credit card information to a scammer, or having serious conversations with a clown, customer service calls spiral into absurdity for the customers and employees alike in this hilarious comedy.
