Three Students Invited to National French Trivia Contest
Three Ranney School students were invited to compete nationally live on Sunday, Nov. 21 at the French Cultural Trivia Contest, organized by AATF. All three scored well in last week’s first round.
At level A (Middle school), Reilly Moini ‘26 scored a perfect score. At Level B (High school) Sophia Lennon ’24 and Lindsay Berliner ’24 scored 24/25.
This year’s contest’s turnout was an all-time record for number of plays and players. Level A was played over 1900 times by 31,200 players, and Level B was played more than 1500 times across the United States by 19,300 players.
The Finals Round will be played via Zoom and will take place on Sunday, Nov. 21st, 2021
5:00 pm EST. Students will be shown a question and will then have 10 seconds to think of their answer. They will have five seconds to type their answer into the Zoom chat box. Once a student answers a question incorrectly, he/she/they will be eliminated.
The student who progresses the farthest by answering questions correctly will win the Grand Prize of $200. The four students who advanced the next farthest from the Grand Prize winner will receive runner-up prizes of $50 each.
