Ranney School-Wide Community Service Day Tackles Food Insecurity

On Friday, November 11, Ranney students from all three divisions, ages 3 through grade 12, worked together to assemble more than 23,000 meals in a school-wide community engagement initiative to support Fulfill and tackle the problem of food insecurity in our area.

Thank you to the Celler, Vigliotti, and Wilderotter Families for making Panthers Against Hunger possible!

This year is Ranney’s third Panthers Against Hunger event. In November 2019, Ranney students, faculty, and parents packaged 16,000 meals to support Philabundance in Philadelphia.  Last year, Ranney’s goal surpassed its goal to assemble 20,000 meals to support Lunch Break. Ranney is proud to once again partner with Kids Against Hunger to purchase the meal ingredients and set up the assembly-line.

In conjunction with its Panthers Against Hunger event, Ranney’s student-led club RHOPE is coordinating a food drive to support Fulfill and Students Change Hunger. Ranney will be collecting non-perishable food donations on campus from November 28 through December 7.
