Collaboration & Creativity Grow in Middle-Upper School Innovation Lab
Upper School students in Ranney’s Global Citizens class are using the collaborative space in our new Innovation Lab to complete their mid-term projects. With a Design Thinking approach, they must develop short- and long-term goals to help a Syrian refugee living in a camp in The Netherlands. Working in groups of four, students are evaluating a specific problem, and then working to empathize, define, ideate, create, test, and implement a resolution.
Last month, Middle School students used the creative space to test (video) their mag lev cars, which they built out of common art materials.
Our mission is to know and value every child, nurturing intellectual curiosity and confidence, and inspiring students to lead honorably, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to society.
