Students Contribute to UN Winter Youth Assembly

Ranney's Global Citizens students continue to contribute to the UN Winter Youth Assembly taking place this week in New York City (February 1-3, 2017) by brainstorming possible solutions for Sustainable Development Goal 1, which aims to end global poverty.

Some of the students' ideas so far include improving education for girls, who are often marginalized, and providing fresh drinking water in rural communities so that more time is spent learning a trade than seeking basic resources. All ideas will be submitted to the presenters to form a conference resolution which will be presented to the UN leadership.

Stay tuned for student testimonials on the experience at UN Headquarters.
