Below are a few more details about Creative Outlets and their upcoming production:
Creative Outlets: Teen Theatre Productions is nonprofit production company that produces actor-driven material. It affords groundbreaking opportunities to passionate teenagers who excel in the arts. We believe a person can never be too young to discover, explore, and create exceptional theatre in a professional, quality theatrical setting. Creative Outlets presents all student-run productions in which participating young artists explore their stage craft. Students not only perform—they direct, choreograph, produce, design sets and costumes, and more.
Into the Woods, a musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, takes the tales of all the fairy tale characters we all grew up reading about and let’s us know what happens after Happily Ever After. Its central theme is built around community and how strong we can be when we are united together. Its seems especially fitting that in today’s society, we take a moment to value each individual human being and understand that we are better as a collective group working together to make our world a better place to live in. This musical will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between. We hope to see you there as we open in New York City August 25 and run until August 27 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center on 55 Lexington Avenue NY, NY (entrance on 25th Street)! www.bit.ly/creativeoutletsitw
