Spanish Teacher Heidi Bonney to Serve as National Peer Mentor

Ranney World Languages Teacher Heidi Bonney has been accepted into the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language’s Mentoring Program. The program is designed to help early career language teachers succeed in their current assignments and learn the skills to be successful long-term in their careers. As a peer mentor, Ms. Bonney will be advising a teacher in Virginia throughout the 2017-18 school year.  
 
Ms. Bonney has been teaching Spanish at Ranney since 2009. She also advises the Spanish National Honor Society chapter at Ranney, and serves as a coach for the Girls’ and Boys’ JV Tennis teams. Her Upper School Spanish Language students earned two silver, one bronze, and nine honorable mentions on the 2017 Spanish national language exam.
