Ranney School Class of 2018 Enjoys Success with Early College Acceptances

February brings us to an exciting time in the career of a high school senior, as early acceptances have started to roll in. This list will grow as the season continues, with the vast majority of college acceptance letters arriving in late March and early April. The Ranney School class of 2018 has already received at least one offer of admission from the institutions listed below.

Listed below in alphabetical order are all of the colleges that have offered acceptance to a Ranney School senior. We are proud of our students for all of the academic achievements and are excited to be a part of this thrilling time in their lives, as the Ranney College Counseling department supports them in finding the right fit for the next chapter in their academic careers. They have worked hard and deserve to be congratulated as they watch all of their efforts lead them to the next step in their journeys. Whether our seniors choose to become Boston College Eagles, Columbia University Lions, Duke University Blue Devils, University of Georgia Bulldogs or Villanova University Wildcats, we will always consider them Panthers first and forever.

The ratio of Ranney student to personal, primary College Counselor is 1 to 30, but every student has access to an entire office of counselors that know each student’s background and path. The College Counseling department has a great deal of experience, including from the perspective as admissions officers. Starting second semester junior year, the students have a class every cycle that helps with time during the day to write college essays, listen to speaker panels and work through mock interviews led by admissions counselors. In addition, Ranney plans a college trip each year. Ranney College Counseling doesn’t stop after the acceptances roll in, however. The seniors are led through a transitions class that helps to teach them important life skills that will ensure they are successfully prepared for their educational endeavors after Ranney. All of these factors combined are what lead to the each Ranney student finding the right fit for their continuing education.
