Mr. John Propper Selected to Conduct All-Shore

Mr. John Propper, Ranney All-School Band Director, has been appointed to conduct one of the All-Shore Jazz Band for this year and next year.  He was chosen from a pool of applicants to work with the top jazz ensemble students from Monmouth and Ocean counties. 

Students will audition on January 22nd. Once accepted the students will rehearse together and perform on Saturday, February 9th at Ocean Township High School in Oakhurst NJ.  Students who have auditioned successfully will be sorted into two separate honor jazz bands, "A" and "B".

The "A" jazz ensemble will perform with featured soloist "John Fedchock" who is a professional trombonist.  Mr. Propper will conduct the "B band this year and the "A" band next year. 

Ranney will be sending eight jazz band students to audition for the honor ensembles this year.
