Middle School Students Set Sights on Giving Back
Ranney Middle School students set their sights on improving the lives of others through local community service projects, drives, and fundraisers over the next few months.
After working with Mrs. Reddington in the Lower School on making handmade 'Valentine's Cheer' cards for local senior citizens, Middle School students Serena, Savannah, Gwen, Ilana, Daniel, Oliver, Ryan, Ela, Emmy, Julia, and Mia have moved to their next project--becoming Blanketeers for
Project Linus.
Students learned to make tie fleece blankets and are now busy using their skills to create cozy throws for donation to the organization's Monmouth County chapter. Project Linus is a non-profit that gives these donated blankets to seriously ill or traumatized children in need. This service is a rewarding opportunity for the Ranney MS students to give back to children right here in their own community.
Special thanks to Mrs. Stacey Slowinsky, Paulus Librarian, for lending a hand with the projects!
