The 2021-22 Ranney Fund

The Ranney Fund directly supports all aspects of life at Ranney School and allows our school to respond to the changing needs of our community during this unprecedented time.

Everyone in the Ranney community—current and past parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends—is asked to give. Collectively, gifts of all sizes have a significant impact on our ability to upgrade and enhance our academic programs, student life, and campus facilities. Every gift matters. Please join the annual tradition of giving that helps distringuish a Ranney education!

The 2021-22 Ranney Fund closes on June 30, 2022.  Your gift or pledge early in the school year enables us to plan and build momentum. You can make an unrestricted gift or designate your gift in support of any of the areas supported by the Ranney Fund:

List of 4 items.

  • Innovative Academic & Student Life Programs

From STEAM and Global Studies to the visual and performing arts, athletics, robotics, community service, leadership, and more—Ranney continues to innovate our programs, invest in technology, and capitalize on the best ideas in education.
  • Faculty Innovation

Great teachers create great students. Research shows the single most important factor influencing student-achievement is access to inspiring and expert faculty. Investments in professional development ensure our teachers are exposed to the latest research on how children learn, emerging technology tools for the classroom, and new curriculum resources.
  • Merit Scholarships & Financial Aid

We recognize a Ranney education is an investment. The Ranney Fund allows us to provide need-based financial aid and award merit-based scholarships. These complementary programs benefit our community by helping us attract and retain more mission-appropriate students.
  • Campus Enhancements

Ranney must continually make strategic investments in our 60-acre campus to meet the changing needs of our students.

Giving FAQs

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • What is the Ranney Fund? Why doesn't tuition cover the total cost of each student?

Ranney’s annual operating budget envisions investments in our innovative programs, robust student life, professional development for faculty, and improvements to campus, as well as the opportunity to offer merit scholarships and need-based financial aid. Like most independent schools, Ranney relies on charitable donations to make these extraordinary investments in our students possible. Rather than raising tuition, the Ranney Fund offers our community a tax-deductible opportunity to invest in transformative programs at a level appropriate for each family. Our goal is 100% participation!
  • Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! Ranney School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution. Every gift is tax-deductible to the extent permissible under IRS regulations. The school's Tax ID number is 22-1853774.
  • Who is asked to donate?

Everyone in the Ranney community is asked to give — trustees, parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, senior students, as well as faculty and staff.  Last year, Ranney received gifts from 100% of the Board of Trustees, 100% of faculty and staff, and 53% of current families.
