“I find it so rewarding to be an involved parent at Ranney. Ranney has become our second family over the past 11 years…and I love the idea of Admissions Parent Ambassadors to show new families the sense of community we all share. Plus, when my son sees me donate my time to help his school, he learns a valuable lesson in paying it forward.”
-Lori Johnson (Chip ’18), a long-time parent volunteer

Ranney School Parents' Association (RSPA)

The Ranney School Parents’ Association (RSPA) was formed to promote a partnership with the school and facilitate communication, cooperation and involvement throughout the school community. The events and activities organized by the RSPA offer parents the chance to socialize and network with other Ranney families, strengthening the community.  Every Ranney School parent is a member of the Parents’ Association and is welcome to volunteer for a committee, attend a meeting or participate in an event.

Letter to the Parent Community

Dear Ranney Families,
As the summer seems to quickly be coming to an end, and the start of another promising school year is upon us, the Ranney School Parents’ Association would like to wish both new and returning families a warm welcome back! We hope you had a spectacular summer filled with lots of memories and a little bit of relaxation.
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as I step into the position of RSPA president. My name is Jennifer Andiorio and I have been an active volunteer with RSPA since my daughters started their Ranney journey as Beginners 12 years ago. I’ve found it to be a wonderful and worthwhile way to get involved with my children’s Ranney experience and a great way to meet new people. The friendships that have been made over years are so special and truly are our friends that have become family!
We welcome two new board members this school year: Lisa Nissinoff, our Liaison for Fall Festival, and Anya Sverdlov, our new Treasurer and Lower School Ambassador for Beginners-Second Grade. The RSPA Executive Board has been actively planning events over the summer in preparation for the 2018-2019 school year. We invite you to join us for our first RSPA General Meeting on Tuesday, September 18, to meet new parents and learn more about the events that we are planning, with plenty of opportunities to get involved and volunteer when you can.
Our first two events you won’t want to miss fall on Saturday, October 6. Last year’s inaugural Color Run was such a huge success that we just had to bring it back, and, of course, Fall Festival is a beloved Ranney community tradition. This particular day is an absolute favorite for Ranney families for so many reasons. It’s an opportunity for the entire school’s student body and families to come out and participate in a day filled with music, food, games, crafts, a petting zoo, pony rides, and so much more! We hope to see you there!
While we have plenty of time yet and many other events beforehand, I want to ask that you save the date of Saturday, March 2, 2019, for the 32nd Annual Panther Ball. Last year’s event was an amazing success - RSPA partnered with the school to help raise more than $155,000. It was a wonderful sold out evening filled with parents, friends, alumni, faculty, and staff members having a great time celebrating the school. We
are already in planning mode, so be on the look out for how you can help make this year’s Panther Ball even better!
Hoping you all get to enjoy the last bits of summer. I look forward to meeting you and to a wonderful year ahead, collaborating to make it an awesome year for our Ranney community!
Warmest regards,
Jennifer Andiorio
President, Ranney School Parents’ Association
