Founders' Day at Ranney
The family of Mr. Russell Ranney visited campus as part of Homecoming 2015 festivities.
Two generations of Ranney family members visited campus today as part of the school's annual Founders' Day, held every year during Homecoming weekend. Mr. Harland Ranney, the son of our school's founder Mr. Russsell Ranney and a member of the first graduating class in 1965, brought his son, Will, and wife, Mary Anne, to take a look at how the campus has changed over the years. They were joined by additional alums from the Class of 1965, including Carl Sohl and Diane Didden, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary reunion.
Additional alumni are expected to be on campus October 17 for the full Homecoming reunion and Hall of Fame Inductions. Mr. Russell Ranney is being inducted into the Hall of Fame posthumously.
Student Council President Jerome Cohen, a senior, and junior Sid Sharma joined Alumni Relations Director Tom Moriau to give the alums a tour of campus. Along the way, the founding family was able to meet with Lower School children in the Searle Library and witness the makings of Ranney's school-wide pep rally to kick off our
Homecoming Weekend festivities.
