Ranney School Celebrates World Language Week

Ranney School is celebrating World Language Week February 7-11, in all three divisions. Students in Mandarin, French, and Spanish will all participate in fun activities that mark the exploration and education of foreign language and culture.

This page will be updated throughout the week with links and pictures showcasing some of the amazing activities from the World Language Faculty.

  • Middle School Spanish students created posters for the AATSP Poster Contest, celebrating Ranney’s World Language Week. The theme was “Valuing Our Roots and Constructing Our Future.”
  • Each of the students in the Spanish 2 classes researched and prepared a dish from the Spanish-speaking world. They then created a website with the results of their work for World Language Week.
  • AP Spanish students made posters for US states with names that derive from Native American languages or Spanish.
  • Spanish 3 students created posters promoting travel to the countries of students' ancestry.
  • Spanish 3 Honors students crafted posters for words in English that come from other languages.
