Mackenzie Schultz '19 Accepted as Professional Ballet Company Apprentice

Mackenzie Schultz ’19 was accepted as an Apprentice to Monmouth County’s first professional ballet company, Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Company (AXCBT), under the direction of Gabriel Chajnik, performing alongside Julliard trained professional dancers, and a live professional orchestra.

They performed their inaugural productions, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Carmen (with Metropolitan Opera singers), over the summer, and will be performing a modern interpretation of The Jungle Book this weekend and next. The show will be performed on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
