Ranney Jazz Band Students Accepted to the Region 2 Jazz Ensemble

Maddie Carpenter '24, Crosby Collins '23, and Jaren Nawy '21 auditioned and were accepted into the New Jersey Jazz Educators Association Region 2 Jazz Ensembles.  These students prepared a written solo, scales, sightreading, and performed an improvisational blues passage to secure the spots in the ensembles.  They auditioned at Rahway High School on Monday, March 9 and won the spots from a pool of applicants.  Maddie placed into the Junior Jazz Ensemble, Crosby into the Senior Jazz Ensemble, and Jaren into the Senior Jazz Combo.  They will be performing at Rahway High School on Sunday, April 5.
