Ranney Students Perform at Chelsea Assisted Living

On Sunday, March 5, Ranney Jazz Combo and Chamber Music Club returned to Chelsea Assisted Living to perform for the senior members of our community. We performed pieces of various genres, including classical (Bach's Double Concerto for Violin and Oboe), 20th-century (Yesterday by The Beatles), and Jazz (Blue Bossa by Joe Henderson). This performance is part of a larger Tri-M initiative, which seeks to bring music to adults who struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Tri-M is also working on a fundraiser for Veterans Against Alzheimer's, a non-profit organization actively researching and developing treatments and cures for the disease. Through today's performance, we hope we positively impacted our community by bringing awareness to the battle against Alzheimer's.
