Award-winning author,
New York Times science reporter, and committed environmentalist Andrew Revkin will deliver the keynote address at Ranney School’s 2008 Fall Convocation ceremonies on Tuesday, October 7, in the new Panther Hall, located in the Lower School Academic Complex.
Revkin is an internationally renowned writer who has spent a quarter of a century covering subjects ranging from the assault on the Amazon to the Asian tsunami. He will speak to students, faculty and parents about his experiences as a journalist, environmental stewardship and the need for leadership in the environmental arena. Author of two books,
The Burning Season, a biography of Chico Medes, and
