Middle School students, along with a few Upper School guests, had the opportunity to showcase their musical and artistic talents on Friday, October 23 at the October Coffee House held in The Commons Black Box Theater. A Ranney community favorite, the evening was a resounding success as Ranney families and friends gathered in a warm and intimate setting and were entertained by an eager and enthusiastic group of performers.
Presented by Ranney’s Performing Arts Department and organized by John Doyle, the school’s Middle and Upper School drama teacher, the program was filled with a wide variety of performing arts ranging from singers, actors, instrumentalists, solo and duet performers, and even the proverbial magic act. Tess Nielsen, Performing Arts Chair, and Lilly Torrente, Middle School music teacher, accompanied several student vocalists on the piano. Kara Santora, Hannah Simpson and Evelyn Giovine, students from Ranney’s International Thespian Troupe #630 helped to host the program and introduced each performer.
