The evening included a chance raffle and silent auction, featuring an array of gift baskets and prizes for both parent and child, including a beautifully detailed dollhouse, spa and restaurant packages, one-of-a-kind designer handbags, jewelry, accessories, toys and more.
The main event began with a look back in time through a video presentation and live retro models from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. As guests returned to the 21st century, Ranney students, parents, faculty and administration took the runway in fashions from Nirvana, Brave New World, Tory Burch, Michael Duru Clothiers, Stacy Gemma and Glow. Lower School students and paparazzi lined the runway, cheering the student models and mothers as they walked along and high-fiving their teachers, Middle School Head David Fischer and Head of School Dr. Lawrence Sykoff.
This year’s fashion show was organized by chairwomen Tina Pflaster, Laura Pflaster and Executive Board Liaison Heather Barr, while the Auction Committee was chaired by Kathryn Ryan, Cathy Romano and Executive Board Liaison Arzu Chu. Overall, the event raised more than $20,000 for the Parents’ Association and provided families with a fun night out with their friends.
