A golden anniversary marks a significant milestone in the life of a school. Ranney School today is a very different place than it was in 1960. New buildings loom large on our horizon, cutting edge technology now drives our teaching strategies and innovative programs enhance our curriculum in all disciplines. Since Mr. Ranney first opened our doors a half a century ago, Ranney School has evolved into a premiere educational environment with a rich and fascinating history. Ranney Voices, Past and Present is an evening dedicated to telling the Ranney story, then and now.
We invite all of our Ranney family to enjoy us in Panther Hall for this very special program. There will be two performances on March 19 and 20, running from 7:00 p.m. until about 9:30 p.m. each evening. Students, parents, faculty and alumni, as well as other friends of Ranney, are all invited to be our guests for what promises to be an exciting event that will revisit Ranney’s past, while showcasing our talented Ranney students of today. The March 20 event will feature a special recognition of our alumni, especially those who have played a role in performing arts during their tenure at Ranney.
The evening will include an engaging multi-media history of Ranney School’s growth, featuring nostalgic photos and video clips spanning the last fifty years, as well as captivating live performances from our Count Basie Award-winning theater students, prize-winning forensics performers, outstanding choral performers from all three divisions and musical selections guaranteed to get your toes tapping. From classic Broadway show tunes to laugh-out-loud comedy scenes, this variety show will be sure to entertain. Mark your calendars now. You won’t want to miss this celebration of fifty years of performing arts at Ranney School!
