Lower School students are already thinking about Ranney’s big birthday bash on May 1, when the school officially celebrates its 50th Anniversary with its Golden Gala – the Panther Ball.
Students recently lent a helping hand on a wide variety of projects and crafts during ‘Student Participation Day.’ All items will be part of the “Panther Pride” section of the Gala’s silent auction.
Among the many auction items that promise to be ‘hot ticket’ items is the personalized rocking chair adorned with names, fingerprints and hand prints from Ranney’s youngest Panthers, Ranney Beginners had fun decorating the chair for future buyers. First-graders also enjoyed themselves as they added their names, fingerprints and thoughts about why they love their school on a house shaped, hand painted bookcase with the theme “what I love about Ranney.”
Not to be outdone, second and third-graders left their imprint on a pedestal cake platter acknowledging Ranney’s special birthday, as well as adorned dessert dishes and a popcorn bowl with their names and fingerprints. Also demonstrating their Panther Pride were fourth and fifth-graders who left their signatures on a memory box and photo collage, as middle school students signed their names to a framed panoramic photo of Ranney School.
Although the day was primarily devoted to Lower School students, eighth and twelfth graders also contributed auction items - ‘mob shots’ of their respective classes framed and signed by all graduating seniors.
