Pacific Encore Performances Returns to Ranney

Broadway music will fill RSPA Panther Hall, as 13 professional performers join Ranney’s Upper School Chorus on its very own Roberts Stage for an evening of “Broadway: The Great American Love Song.”

Pleased to participate in its third joint concert with Pacific Encore Performances — a unique musical repertory company based in New York — the Ranney Upper School Chorus will take to the stage at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011, to share in the universal language that is music.

Accompanied by the Ranney Chamber Orchestra and guest pianist Bill Lewis, musical acts throughout the evening will include family-friendly romantic works from classic Broadway shows like The King and I, South Pacific, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof and more. While the show will help Ranney singers to explore and perpetuate their vocal repertoire, it will also speak to the hearts of all in attendance.

The concert is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Dessert and coffee will be available during intermission, and guests will have a chance to personally meet various performing artists after the show. Overall, the evening promises a memorable and fun-filled event — one that makes Ranney School truly proud to be part of the Pacific Encore Performances’ Educational Outreach Program.
