15th Annual Ranney Golf and Tennis Classic

Members of the Ranney community enjoyed mild spring weather and brilliant sunshine at the Navesink Country Club in Middletown, New Jersey as they gathered for a 15th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic on Monday, May 9, 2011. Originally scheduled for early October, the rescheduled event not only raised more than $20,000 in direct support of Ranney student programs, but also presented an opportunity for parents, alumni and friends to socialize.

A field of 15 teams took to the fairway for a team scramble competition during the spirited Golf Classic portion of the day. The winning foursome, which included Reggie Stonier, Nick Chomuk, John Bryczyk and alumnus Tony Mannik from the Class of 1976, shot a 69. Meanwhile, second place went to a team comprised of John DeCarlo, Bill Russo, Joe D’Agrosa and John Degregorio, who shot a combined 71 for the day.

Parents and friends also paired up for a round robin doubles competition on the tennis courts. Winning a heated courts competition was the pairing of parents Sharon Woska and Nadeem Zaidi.

Following all events, participants and sponsors then gathered in the grand ballroom for an afternoon awards reception. Ranney School would like to extend a very special thank you to all those who sponsored the event and to those volunteers who made the day such a success.
