Ranney Annual Fund Surpasses Goal

Thank you Ranney community…..YOU made the difference!
The Ranney Annual Fund achieved a record-breaking $712,971 this year thanks to the dedication and generosity of donors and volunteers throughout the entire school community. The Ranney Annual Fund, chaired by Alison and Christopher Fitzmaurice (parents of Liam ’17, Shana ’19 and Tyge ’23), is the cornerstone of philanthropic support for Ranney School. This past year, nearly 400 generous parents, grandparents, alumni and friends made gifts to support Annual Fund efforts. The success of the 2010-11 Annual Fund is notable as it is the highest amount ever raised in the history of Ranney School. Last year’s Ranney Fund raised approximately $380,000.

Ranney School is thankful to the community for demonstrating support of students and faculty. Every gift has been essential to helping fulfill the Ranney mission and we are grateful for the outpouring of support. The Ranney Fund augments immediate expenses and helps all current programs and special activities. In addition, student programs, financial aid and faculty professional development are other areas of support within the Ranney Fund. Overall, the funds are used to support almost every area of the school’s operation.

Oftentimes, dollars are restricted to campaigns that enhance specific capital projects. “Restricted gifts to this year’s Fund have provided noticeable campus enhancements such as an added Lacrosse Wall to our practice field and new ergs and equipment for the crew team,” said Annual Fund Director Lynn Lucarelli. “Improvements to the Aquatics Center will also take place this summer. Replacement of the pool’s bulkhead and the installation of six new swim blocks are all being funded by generous donors of the Ranney Annual Fund,” said Ms. Lucarelli.

Ranney is confident that the success of this year’s Annual Fund will bring the school one step closer to providing the best possible education for its students. The school is grateful to all donors for their continued generosity and is committed to good stewardship of Annual Fund resources.
