Some of Ranney’s finest art teachers were represented at the Art Educators of New Jersey’s 2011 Member Exhibit this summer. Projects by Ave Maria Walwark, Beverly Sirianni and Barbara Levine were displayed alongside pieces from 39 other art educators.

Beginning June 6th and lasting just over five weeks, artwork representing teachers and schools from across the state of New Jersey was exhibited in Kean University’s James Howe Gallery. The exhibition ended with a closing reception on July 14, 2011 as family, friends and guests joined the featured artists in tasty refreshments and art chat.

Not only did visiting the art gallery allow each teacher to come away inspired, energized and eager to start working on new projects, but it also fostered an exchange of classroom ideas sure to enhance future lessons. While Ms. Walwark, Ms. Sirianni and Ms. Levine all teach at Ranney during the regular school year, each is also teaching several courses this summer, including Digital Photography, Printmaking, Graphic Arts, Pottery, and Ceramics, Sculpture and Glass.
