A Week of Talent for Summer Campers

July 16 to the 20th contained several performances as witnessed by those campers from week four of Ranney’s summer day camp.

The fun began with an acrobatic act from The Waltens — Willy and Tinkerbelle — of Waltens International Acrobatic Variety Show in RSPA Panther Hall on Tuesday afternoon. A skilled set of performers for 35 years, the Waltens provided unique stunts consisting of both balance and juggling, as well as introduced three poodles named Lily, Toby and Einstein who managed to steal the show with their talented tricks. While several members of the audience were also asked to participate, it was not until Thursday and Friday afternoon that all campers were really able to showcase their skills.

Beginning Thursday afternoon, campers groups ‘A’ through ‘H’ took to the Roberts’ Stage for musical performances to such songs as “The Candy Man,” “A Whole New World,” “Surfin’ USA” and more. The entertainment continued on Friday afternoon as well, as Ranney’s remaining summer camp groups and individual campers graced an audience containing family members and friends with song and dance to tunes like “Spice up Your Life,” “What Makes you Beautiful” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life.” Ranney Summer Programs will host another series of talent shows during week seven of camp.

Congratulations to all performers on a job well done!
