Perfect Partnerships Continue to Grow

As part of its vision for the Ranney scholar-athlete—a vision that aims to offers students a diversified and competitive sports program that enables them to have a rewarding experience while also developing the competitive edge needed to succeed—Ranney set out to form a “Perfect Partnerships” program in 2012. Today, the program has led to partnerships with several local athletics clubs and travel teams, including the New Jersey Wildcat Soccer Club, United Lacrosse Club, Central Jersey Hawks Basketball Club, Hoop Group, New Jersey Race Club Swim Team, Brian Bevin’s Golf, At­lantic Fencing Club and Two River Indoor Rowing.

Ranney’s relationship with these organizations gives students the opportunity to grow and improve their athletic skills with talented coaches 12 months out of the year. For example, the Wildcats Soccer Club staff conducts soccer skill clinics for students of all ages on the Ranney campus during the spring and summer months. Partnering with the Wildcats allows Ranney’s talented soccer players, who are constantly striving to compete at a higher level, the opportunity to play for an even more competitive club team.

And starting this June, the United Lacrosse Club, which trains girls and boys at all levels of play throughout the northeast region, will be training on Ranney’s campus. See related video http://youtu.be/4rYecyKb9kI.

“These ‘Perfect Partners’ continue to provide our scholar-athletes of all ages with opportunities to maintain fitness and strength training regimens along with strengthening their sport related skills through a year-round program of instruction and game play,” said Director of Athletics Tom Moriau.
