Early Admissions Report: Ranney Seniors Accepted to Top Colleges

Amidst the challenges with this fall's application cycle, unexpected technological glitches in the new version of the Common Application (CA4), prompting many colleges and universities to extend application deadlines, the Class of 2014 had a very successful Early Decision and Early Action process. In keeping with trends within our school community in recent years, 93% of the members of the Class of 2014 (which has 59 students) applied to colleges this fall through either an Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA) program. In this year's senior class, some of the more popular institutions based on where students applied were Boston University, University of Chicago, Duke University, Elon University, University of Miami, University of Michigan, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, Tulane University and Villanova University. Beginning in December, colleges and universities began to release ED and EA application decisions. As of January 10, 2014*, members of the senior class have been offered admission to the following institutions; colleges in bold denote where a Ranney student will be matriculating this fall:
