Robotics Students Share World Championship Experience

At the end of April, 13 Ranney students traveled to Anaheim, California, to compete in the 2014 VEX Robotics World Championship. Led by Brandon Gioggia ’16, the team’s leading robot came in 28th place in its division. Approximately 430 robots were part of the global high school competition. Using “Strength of Schedule” points, Brandon’s finish places his robot in the top 1.3% of all robots in the world. The team is already gearing up for the 2014-2015 season. View this video recap with the students, and read previous stories about their success this year.
