Ranney Alum in the Spotlight: Craig Forman `78

In this Q&A, Craig discusses his rise to the top of the digital media industry and his Ranney roots.

After graduating from Ranney School in 1978, Craig Forman went on to Princeton University to earn a Bachelor’s degree at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs and then earned his Masters of Studies in Law degree from Yale Law School in 1987.

Craig spent several years as a journalist, including as a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal in Europe and as the newspaper’s Tokyo bureau chief. He has held several management and executive positions, including as vice president and general manager of CNN Financial News—Internet; CEO & Chairman of MyPrimeTime Inc. and Success Television; Yahoo’s vice president and general manager of Media and Information; and executive vice president and president of EarthLink Inc.

Today, Craig is the Executive Chairman of Appia, the largest venture-backed mobile applications discovery and download marketplace.
