Middle School Baseball Season a Hit

The Ranney Middle School Baseball Team completed an excellent season, with a record of 6 wins and 3 losses. They showed the ability to integrate seasoned veterans with rookie players in a winning effort. Led by seventh-grade catcher Ryan Batista (named Most Valuable Player at the Spring 2014 Middle School Athletic Awards Assembly), with a batting average of .631, and eighth-grade shortstop Kiran Shah, holding a batting average of .583 and their pitching ace, seventh-grader Ethan Gavin, who posted a 2-2 record and .710 on-base percentage (OBP), the team strove to be better at each game.
